Welcome to Desert Zen House, your very own serene and spacious home perfectly situated on an elevated corner lot, between the Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs, where you will be able to enjoy the incredible sunrises, sunsets, and clear starry skies, as well as the beautiful views of Yucca Valley and the Hawks Landing golf course. This beautiful house is the perfect destination for a relaxing retreat from your busy city life!

Blending Earthy and modern elements, you will surely feel that you have escaped from your everyday life. Sip your coffee or tea as you watch the sun rise behind the mountains from the patio. Soak up the desert sun in our brand new Cowboy pool from late Spring to early Fall. Relax and drink at the breathtaking colors of sunset in the large Zen garden. Gaze up at the starry sky from our brand new hot tub, while enjoying the silence of your surroundings…

Our 2400 sq. ft. home has 2 bedrooms with a private bathroom and one extra room, the Zen Room, which can be used as an additional bedroom, a yoga/meditation room or an office space. Desert Zen House can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests.

All our beds feature the softest linens and pillows available. The kitchen and bathrooms are fully equipped with all of your cooking and travel necessities away from home.

Driveway and street parking will be available to you. We recommend no more than 3 cars for the property.

PLEASE READ & AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING BEFORE MAKING A BOOKING.

Our home is best for friends, couples, and families who want to experience all that Joshua Tree has to offer. If you would like to have large gatherings or parties, then our home is not the right fit for you.

RENTAL AGREEMENT AND DEPOSIT:
Please note that all bookings require signing of the Rental Agreement, and providing a valid photo ID and a fully refundable security deposit of $300. Once your reservation is confirmed, please be on the lookout for a “Rental Agreement” email which will be sent prior to your arrival for review and signature. Please make sure to sign and return the rental agreement, as well as submit your security deposit prior to your arrival date, or you will not be able to access our home.

AGE:
All guests must be 25+ with the exception of children with their parents.

EXCESSIVE NOISE:
We love our neighbors, so please be respectful to them. Noise travels amazingly far in the desert. This house is in a quiet and upscale community, and as such, we require that guests be mindful of their noise level at all times. No radio receiver, musical instrument, phonograph, compact disk player, loudspeaker, karaoke machine, sound amplifier, or any machine, device or equipment that produces or reproduces any sound shall be used outside or be audible from the outside of any short-term vacation rental unit between the hours of 10PM and 7AM.

If we receive a noise complaint, we will have to contact the appropriate authorities. Upon a second noise complaint, you will be asked to leave without a refund for your stay or your security deposit.

SMOKING:
This is a NON-SMOKING home and property. Any evidence of smoking (including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and marijuana) will result in a minimum fine of $500.

PETS:
Pets are NOT allowed. We love pets, however some of our family members and guests are very allergic to pet dander. This is strictly enforced and monitored at check-in.

CLEANING:
We take extra measures to ensure the home is sanitized and safe before every arrival. For this reason we may not be able to offer early check-ins or late check-outs. There will be an extra cleaning fee if the house is left in disarray.

HOT TUB AND POOL:
Our 6-person hot tub is set to 102 degrees and serviced between each guest. The hot tub is for guests 25 and over only. Alcohol and glassware are NOT allowed near the hot tub. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or if you are pregnant. Do not dive headfirst into the hot tub or pool. Use the hot tub and pool AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please refer to the hot tub and pool rules posted house guidebook for further details. Parents are responsible for supervising children at all times. The owners, or their agent, shall not be liable for children in the pool or hot tub. There is no lifeguard on duty.

SECURITY:
For your safety and security, our home is equipped with a Ring doorbell in addition to security cameras and motion activated lights in the front yard and the backyard. We respect your privacy, so backyard cameras are not monitored unless an incident/complaint occurs which requires a check.

FIRE:
No outdoor fires are allowed except for the gas firepit. No unauthorized fires (including candles). The 2 indoor fireplaces are for decorative purposes only.

THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS:
NO third party bookings. The person that makes the reservation must be the person that checks-in. If this happens, reservation will be cancelled with NO refund and the code to gain access to the house will be changed. This is for our safety, our community’s safety, as well as our guests’ safety.

LIABILITY WAIVER:
You agree to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge the owners, or their agent, from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action of any kind that you, the members of your household or guests or invitees may have at any time against the owners or their agent resulting from your use of the rental property. You understand that swimming, hiking and the use of the hot tub, pool or gas fire pit is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming, hiking and using the hot tub, pool or gas fire pit. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming, hiking and the use of the hot tub, pool, or gas fire pit and hold owners harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that swimming, hiking and the use of the hot tub, pool or gas fire pit may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming, hiking or using the hot tub, pool or gas fire pit if a person has health risks, or if a person swims, hikes or uses the hot tub, pool or gas fire pit while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. All guests in your party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that confirming this constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Airbnb Guests and Airbnb Host.
